Governance Structure

The Governing Board is responsible for the general operations of the organization, performing duties under powers delegated by the Board. The Board meets regularly at the headquarters in Maswa, Simiyu, and oversees audit, budget, development effectiveness, governance, and administrative matters.

Administrative & Financial Control is vested in the Governing Board, which comprises all founding members. Through the Annual General Meeting (AGM), board members are appointed as per the articles in the constitution.

Decision Making & Conflict Resolution

ADCO believes that decision‑making is a key part of administration, permeating all managerial functions such as planning, organization, direction, and control. Decisions are made with the organization's objectives, policies, programs, and strategies in view.

In the event of conflict between members of the Board of Directors, discussions shall first be held. If unresolved, the parties shall agree to seek arbitration.

Planning & Monitoring

ADCO is undergoing internal reform to strengthen its planning, monitoring, and evaluation functions, as well as its human resources, finance, and administrative management. Progress is being made in standardizing a predictable yearly planning process, building member capacity, and providing guidance on outcome‑based planning and monitoring.
